CACI, Computer Sciences Are Among 11 Contractors Given Part of $20 Billion Army IT Deal

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) -- Computer Sciences Corp. and CACI International Inc. are two of 11 companies selected for a $20 billion contract to supply information technology systems to the U.S. Army, the companies said Monday.

The award is for a contract called Information Technology Enterprise Solutions 2 Services for the U.S. Army's Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems.

In a press release Monday, CACI said it was named a prime contractor for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity order, with three base years and three two-year options.

The company will supply systems integration, network services and secure network operations, information assurance, program management, enterprise design, and education and training.

Separately, Computer Sciences, of El Segundo, Calif., confirmed it was selected for a portion of the same contract, which it estimates will be worth up to $2 billion if all options are picked up. The length of CSC's contract is the same as CACI's.

"Specific services include business process reengineering; information systems security; information assurance; enterprise design; systems operation, integration, consolidation and maintenance; education and training; program and project management; and network support," CSC said.

Computer Sciences shares lost 18 cents to $52.17 in early trading on the New York Stock Exchange, while CACI shares added a penny to $56.01.
